Our second Maine Farm Supper MENU will feature shepherd's pie (lamb or vegetarian), roasted winter vegetables, coleslaw, biscuits, and always-popular baked beans. For dessert, Maine blueberry crisp à la mode. YUM!
Tickets are $12 adult/$8 child under 8. Available in advance at Rosemont Market and Royal Bean, both on Main St. in Yarmouth. Proceeds shared with the Yarmouth Food Pantry.
Maine still imports more than 85% of the food we consume but there is a major effort underway to make Maine more food self-sufficient. If we can increase our food self sufficiency by 20% it will mean nearly $500 million in economic growth to the state of Maine, reduce carbon dioxide emission and help bring back a stronger agricultural base to Maine.
