Eat Maine Foods!

I know of a few places to get local raw milk, but I'd like to see if there are any sources I don't know about. Many thanks! If you could include contact info and prices, that would be great!

We ran a story about raw milk in the Maine Switch in March.

Here's the list of places selling raw milk that ran with the story:

Lois’ Natural Marketplace
152 U.S. Rte. 1, Scarborough

Whole Foods
2 Somerset St., Portland

Royal River Natural Foods
443 U.S. Rte. 1, Freeport

New Morning Natural Food Market
3 York St., Kennebunk

Rosemont Market and Bakery
559 Brighton Ave., Portland

Bisson’s Farm
112 Meadow Rd., Topsham

Little Alaska Farm on Leeds Junction road in Wales also carries raw milk from Bisson Farm in Topsham, but they do tend to run out. I believe it comes in on Tuesday afternoon. The farm is worth checking out for the meat alone - grass fed, grass finished, full time butcher on hand - and incredible sausages!

Hi, thanks very much for the replies. I already buy raw milk from the store, but wondered if there were any farmers willing to sell straight from the cow in York or Cumberland county?

Hi Amy,
We're in Gray and have a little surplus of raw goat milk from our 2 does.
We're not a grade A dairy, so legally we can only sell it for animal consumption - but if you'd like to get some for your "pets" let me know. karl@yearofthegoat.net
