What is MEAD?
Well, as you may or may not know, Mead simply put is Honey Wine... Honey diluted with water or other juice and fermented by yeast to create wine.
Mead is very versatile and can be combined with many other types of fermentables ie. fruit juice, other sugars and various herbs & spices... Mmmead.

I made some Raspberry Mead 3 years ago, I just tried some about a month ago. WOW! Need to make some more. Very potent stuff

For insurance, see your current agent and ask for a liability rider to cover you at farmers' markets.
For permits, see the Maine Dept of Ag permits page for such things as processed foods.
