I am interested in helping get the word out to children about local healthy food. In 2002 I edited Healthy Foods From Healthy Soils - a wonderful teachers guide by Maine authors Elizabeth Patten and Kathy Lyon. Tilbury House Publishers also produces environmental and multicultural picture books. In 2010 we will be publishing The Lunch Thief, a story about hunger, health and nutrition. Our family eats as locally as possible, getting our most "hardcore" experience when our then 18 year old daughter had our entire family do the 100 mile diet for the month of MAY
