This objective seems preferable to me-- Yet such sentiments are so easily derailed with 1984-ish 'double speak', or so it seems... I just received a call to action (or to attention) and a call very related to a 100 mile challenge-- The only action i…

Dragon flies seem to come to your home or area, all on their own. If and only if one sustains the correct habitat for them. If one released a hundred dragonflies in the back yard, they would naturally spread out and scout for good hunting grounds. (…

Here is an interesting use for mushrooms... I hope to spark some discussion-- I found this independent thread some time ago, got swamped with other work but am now very interested in offering a chance for experimentation-- http://www.greendiary.com

I really don't want to see Genetically Engineered crops anywhere, but especially not in the open air where their genes can contaminate wild-grown species and farmer's crops. Pharmaceutical companies can be scummy on so many levels.

I helped a guy build a ferrocement house in the early 70s. It came out good.

I don't know if this will work. You want the papercrete to be outside of a ferrocement skin and then cement over that?

Growing mycelium is not that easy. I might work but you have to be able to kill the mycelium to keep it from eating all the paper. I have seen this new product before. I didn't see that they tell you what type of mycelium they use. It's an interesting idea but it may be hard or impossible to pull off. I think you need really controlled conditions to do what they do and I don't think this qualifies.

Oyster mushrooms are somewhat easy to grow and aggressive. They will digest the paper if they go on too long. This structure is a dome or zome?

Interesting idea.
