Are there any in the Oxford Hills area? or the Lewiston / Auburn area? I have cut flower bouquets (in season) and think a buying club is a great idea.
I also thought I would share a project I am working on(http://www.buyingclubsoftware.com/). We hope to have it ready in early 2010, and will be working with the Portland Food Coop to test out our new software specifically made for buying clubs.

Patriotic Peas? Only Victory Gardeners Will Win in 2008!
Russell's blog on peas was right on - 2008 is the perfect summer to stay put and grow home. Thanks, Paul. I used the cheese cloth method and it kept them together. I think my trotters were a bit too big in the end for the result I wanted. I'll try again next year. By all means, email me at bowman@mazirian.com.
Hi Brad,
Slit the trotters and wrap them tightly in cheesecloth during the braise. The problem isn't so much their falling apart as their curling up. Crumbs, crunchy, crispy... all those "c" words invoke delightful images!

I want to grow corn for the first time. I live in Bangor with very acidic clay soil. What seed would people recommend? Can I find a seed that is similar to the maize that Native Americans once grew?
