Other info about Me (please mention any food, fishing, agriculture, or community groups you are affiliated with):
Wood's Edge Farm is a new, small scale CSA and Market Garden, serving Western Maine. I’m a MOFGA Journeyperson, farming commercially for the first year after 20 years of gardening. I have a few CSA shares available and am open to the idea of hosting a farm apprentice.
Hi Kim, I've never done anything related to a curriculum, so I forwarded your request to Jessica Bean at the School Garden Network. There are some resources up on the MOFGA site: http://www.mofga.org/mofga/other/msgn_b.html
I'm still finding my way around here too. This is like a whole community of online Luddites.
David, despite all the square mileage, Maine does turn out to be a very small place.
Luddite that I am, I feel a bit guilty about being on-line myself. I was kind of hoping that Peter and Françoise could be pure for me, since I can’t manage it myself. Maybe they could charge the lap top battery with the hand pump from their kitchen sink?
I remember you saying that Turkey Hill Farm has a school program. Is it with High School age students? I’m in the process of writing a proposal to the local High School to teach a summer school class on agriculture here at the farm and would appreciate looking at other curriculums in the state.
